Throttle cable
I need a new throttle cable, found NOS on Ebay for around $110-120
Year one have a reproduction one for $49, are these any good, what else is available?

save your packing and receipt, I bought a new cable for my 69 GTO and hated that cable.
It would stick, [not blaming the vender,they didn't make it]. I found a very nice used cable on e-bay and all is well again. You may have better luck them me.

My advice to you would be to buy the NOS cable. A sticking throttle cable can get you killed.

Do yourself a favor and stop shopping at year one, they sell the same stuff as Ames but charge you more.

a warm engine already at high RPM won't necessarily stop running without ignition, like a diesel it can run under certain conditions with fuel auto-igniting. And brakes won't necessarily be able to fight against a racing big engine. You can put it in neutral to stop the car but then kiss the engine goodbye!
Learned this the hard way in a 69 GP 25 years ago when the cruise control chain got stuck on I-90 on my way to the POCI nationals.
