I saw both parts, excellent. Not sure how to take his stance, when a bunch of his employee's went on strike.

I have a buddy who is basically an amateur Disney historian. And Ive absorbed a some details as we all do just from hanging out with our friends. Even read a few of the books he pointed out as particularly interesting.

I dont recall when the strike happened (or strikes there may have been more than one in a long history) But I believe it was after Walt's death. Even today if you go to Disney in California you will find quite a number of employees who have been there for decades. I think the strikes were mostly from things being taken away from them.

The parks paid extremely well and were a great working environment in the beginning. People would get them as college jobs and then just never leave. Obviously that has changed over the decades. Its still pretty good for the actual entertainers, I think most of them fall under SAG type protection. But for the run of the mill low level employee its not much.

On the show last night, the big strike they talked about was in early 1941. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disney...tors%27_strike

Oh okay we are talking about two different things then. That must have been with animators or something. The park didnt open until 1955. They have had a few labor issues since opening.
