Default Sway bars on a 67 GTO

I already have a 1" sway bar on the front of my 67 GTO convertible and would like to add one to the rear. I plan on getting a complete kit with the boxed arms, bolts and shims. Someone posted on another thread that the rear bar should be smaller. Is there anything to that? Or, should i get the 1" bar for the back as well?

Many believe that the rear bar should be smaller in diameter.

However Ken Crocie of H-O Racing used to market 1-3/8" bars both front and rear.

Ken knows plenty about making the A-body cars handle, he pretty much originated the current Pro-Touring build style and suspension with his Strong-Arm suspension kits. His '64 GTO had wide rubber mounted on 3-piece 16" Simmons wheels and could out-corner the current year Corvettes back in the late 1980s.

I would buy the 1" rear bar myself, and perhaps combine it with a 1-1/4" front bar from a 2nd-gen T/A someday in the future.

Bigger in the front works and so does both being the same size.
