Default Finally on the road!

After 10 or so years of a seemingly endless journey I finally can drive this car again. Started with a stripped out beast that was going to the crusher if I didn't save it. Was in a yard since 95 or so. Against advice from everyone I couldn't resist. Complete frame off with all work done by myself. Feels great to be past all the hard work and now just fine tuning and some minor tweaking. Thanks for all the input from all along the way.

Not the best pics and dusty and dirty. Now I have the time to clean things up a bit.

Looks awesome! Love the black with the vinyl top! Thanks for saving another beauty and don't feel bad. I'll have about 11 years of restoration into my 67 before its on the road.

Very nice, and you did it all yourself. You deserve to be very proud of saving a piece of history. Now go out and enjoy it...

That is very inspiring to me. It took me roughly 10 years to get my '68 restored and I often wonder if I'll ever be able to get my '66 that way....Just don't feel like I have another one in me sometimes.
Now, I see what you've done with that one and well, it's inspiring!
Great job! Beautiful car.

I agree Greg, I am working on a 64 now and I am not sure I can complete it...., but as I see new posts of recent restos I get some strength to carry on. (I keep telling myself to enjoy the journey...........ya right, I just want to drive it)

Thanks for sharing

That's gorgeous. I'm a vinyl top fan too. Happy traveling.
