Default 80-90-100 A 10SI , anyone run them?

Im trying to avoid putting the big 80 amp alternator and the associated stuff it needs, back in this car. I see a bunch of modified 10SI for sale, and with a engine that runs cool, and isn't raced, I would assume these will last. Anyone run one? I would probably pick the 80 if its reliable, as the needs dictate that amount... Thoughts?
