So I'm finishing up adhering new upholstery on the rear armrest panels, and start to install the courtesy lights and notice just one side has the hole and tabs. So did I get a metal panel from a car without the light option? I'm assuming both sides had courtesy lights like my 68. This will be fun trying to cut the metal after the vinyl has been glued on.

Possibly a base Tempest side panel.
Measure out the location and cut an X to gently peal back the vinyl and then you could use a Dremmel type cutout tool ?

Thanks Jeff, that's probably the plan, careful surgery with a die grinder. It would have been so much easier if I had checked fit on both panels, before putting on the upholstery.
