OriginalHO.com website major update
For those interested, I have done a major update and expansion on my website "OriginalHO.com" over the last few months. I privately published it a few days ago for review by a couple of PY Online Forums members and their feedback is positive. Here are the table of contents:
Who is "OriginalHO"? What was H-O Racing Specialties? Some H-O Racing projects from the 1970s: 326CID E/MP Race Engine 380CID A/FX Race Engine Tunnel Ram Intake Manifolds 1974 Trans Am SD-455 NHRA SS/KA "Rocket Box" Intake Spacer Tri-Y Headers Some recent Original H-O projects: TurboForce Revivial 1979 Trans Am WS6 220HP 4-Speed 1977 Firebird 350 TH350 1963 LeMans 326HO to RA3 406 TD-61 455SD Engine Drawing repop Pontiac Heaven 2010 GTOAA National Meet 2010 Pontiac Heaven 2011 Calculators It is now available to everyone on the internet. There's nothing for sale, so it's not a commercial site, just good ol' information, pictures and a few old magazine article reprints. The Calculators section is completely revised with several new ones. |

Thank you, Craig.
We really appreciate your effort in sharing and preserving the early 'HO' knowledge.

Great stuff Mr. "H"! I learned a lot from you guys at HO. Still have and refer to the parts and assembly books and have some of the newsletters. Didn't you also have a publication showing how to modify a Torker intake manifold to I think make it a little better on the street..."Torker Tuning Secrets"? If so is it available? Thanks.

Not the first H-O catalog
FYI:
While the 1974-1/2 catalog was the first one done by the H-O Racing Specialties, Inc. (the corporation), there was at least one done by the partnership before that. The first ever was just some reprinted pieces of paper stapled together. From humble beginnings... My personal favorite H-O catalog was 1979. H-O took the full production of the its catalog in house in 1977, but IMO 1979 was the best of that effort. |

Yeah, all this old H-O stuff brings back a lot of fond memories ! I think these younger guys today don't realize how good they have it. Nowadays they can just go to a forum and ask their questions. Back in the mid '70's, when we started racing, H-O and Nunzi were the only sources of Pontiac info, I remember.
And you had to use snail mail to get your cats and info. But, I'm still grateful to the H-O guys for all they did to help us and so many other Pontiac owners. I'm also glad that TJ & I got to see the H-O Bird run, at the '78 Cajun Nationals, I believe it was. Besides the H-O guys, some of my other Pontiac heroes, during those years, were Truman Fields, Jack Mullins, and the "Tons-a-Fun" wagon, of Gary & Charlene Wood. There were several others, but these are the names I remember most. http://www.dragracecentral.com/drcstory.asp?ID=14902 http://www.hotrod.com/events/coverag...ders-shootout/ https://myclassicgarage.com/social/c...-Ram-Air/37906 http://www.hotrod.com/cars/featured/...ntiac-history/ http://classracer.com/classforum/sho...=39737&page=18 This all reminds me of the title of the old church song "Precious Memories". |

Yes, The High Output. Me and a friend subscribed. The first 6 or 7 editions were addressed by hand, then mailing labels after that. I like reading old issue's and looking at the customer ad's

My favorite issue was the one published (and dated) April of that year although I forget what year it was. It was an "April Fools" issue about some great looking babe who had a twin turbocharged Trans Am. Unfortunately, she didn't exist. :-( |

The ISP server guru says that he thinks your McAffee is out of date. There's nothing suspicious on my website although the whole ISP server got infected a few months ago but was cleaned up and future infestations prevented so that's the source of his opinion on out-of-date McAffee.
