Default Seat Belt Latch

Hey Guys,
My seat belts on my '68 are flopping around and getting caught underneath the seats. I saw this image from a '67 that has latches to hold the belts in place on the console sides. Was this available all years? Why didn't my car come with them? Are they available?
Thanks Greg

It was an option that I think came with the deluxe seat belts (metal instead of plastic buckles). You can get them from the restoration parts places.

I don't know what years they were used on but Classic Industries has them for $17

I see them listed at Classic Industries. Funny, the listing says 1967 Firebird. Maybe they weren't offered in '68? Although I can't see why.

One thing I didn't check was to see if the buckles were the same size. Did they change the seat belts in 68?

I believe there's a template on FGF on where to attach them.

I don't know if '67 & '68 have the same size buckles, but for the cost involved, why in the world would they change them?
The template will certainly help for location, thanks.

I don't believe there was a year to year change but the shape of the buckle itself may be different between the regular and deluxe versions.

My PHS documentation lists under Options and Accessories: seat belts, custom, front & rear includes front shoulder belts. Would these be the deluxe belts?

That is the same ones, stainless rather than plastic and color coded.

OK, this is what I have.
Deluxe, yes?
Damn, my POS phone won't let me load a pic of my belts right now but they are metal/stainless latches, not plastic.
