I am listing this for a friend (the widow of a friend, actually).

'61 389 4bbl block code BB (303 hp / automatic from a Bonneville or Star Chief, probably Bonne since it's a 4bbl) Block casting date late April of '61.

Was bought as a spare but never used it. I am told is came from a running 60k mile car. Distributor, generator, power steering pump and air cleaner are not with the engine.

$375, you pick it up. (I do not know whether an engine hoist is available - assume it is not)

I will be out to look at it again on 7/11, at which time I will try to rotate the crank by hand and grab a couple of pics for this thread.

OK, been a while, but better Kate than Heather.

I have the engine at my place now. I removed the plugs, oiled the holes and it turns over nicely with a ratchet. Carter AFB operates freely.

The engine codes are shown in the attached images.

I found a note that states the engine is from an ambulance...I don't have the extra $ right now to verify the VIN on the block with PHS.

Also, now that it's at my place, I have a cherry picker so it can be loaded into your truck or suburban easily.
