Some 68's had those two-light housings and some don't. I'm not sure when the cut-off was but my early 68 has the single parking/turn light.

Never seen that double socket housing before. Otherwise, it surely looks like a '68 piece to me. My car was built 3rd week of May and does not have them.

My car is also an early 68 with single bulbs. Pretty cool picture, I never knew those dual bulbs even existed. Learned something today!

My car, being a 2nd week of May car wouldn't be considered early... I don't think?

Single socket here too. I've never seen a dual socket version.

I believe it could be a 68 B-body housing.

68 Firebirds had them early on, but switched to a one bulb housing.

Any picts of the wiring harness? Does it look unmolested?
What's the date code on your cowl tag? just curious.

I have several sets of the two bulb housings. They are very early 68 A-body. Look at the 68 wiring diagrams in the service manual, it shows the brown wire that goes to them. I believe the reproduction looms also have the wires, (plus the wiring for cornering lamps). It's just an amber bulb that goes in there.

one pair came from an original 68 GTO with 44,000 original miles and original paint still ... Pulled a set from a 68 4 door hardtop that was loaded 20 years ago ... It had tilt with the red blinker switch ... 4 piston disc brakes ... A/C ... am fm reverb .... and speed warning /minder with the low fuel light ... power bench and wire caps .... woulda kept it but it was rear ended HARD Scott still have most of the options too .... |

So what is considered early for these lights to be there?
My car is a 01A (first week of january) All the drivetrain parts are dated late 1967. Mine has the single bulbs. just curious.
