Got a line, from a reputable seller, on 2 69 garage stored [20 years] matching number, one green , one CR, unrestored Judges. I shot him a price of 10-15 k each. Pictures are coming, hopefully soon. The green one has been stored, because two new quarters were installed, and the doors, both, wont open and shut. W ith solid frames and matching numbers, I figure my price is fair. Am I correct? Seller sold me my 79 TATA, and both of these cars are Western Ohio {Some rust} cars.

I think there are 2 big questions to the value piece, how much is some rust, and how many of the # parts are there, 273 carbs bring big $, starter, alt, wheels, heads, trans etc. If they are complete cars that you are not hunting for parts for I think you are low, if they have the block and are all apart and missing a bunch of other stuff you are probably right on. The quarters think scares me. I have learned the hard way that a car that is apart = spending extra money you did not think about, there needs to be a deduction in the price for that alone. a good very complete judge RAIII 4 spd that is a normal resto not a total rot box should bring around 20K, then deduct from there. These days you cant restore one for what a done car is going for unless you do it yourself.

I told my connection to secure the cars, matching numbers being the key. We can determine value once we see whats gonna be involved in making them right. I got a buddy who swears his over the top 69 is worth 125, so I figure 100k is all the money in the world on a 4 speed car.Can these cars be bought, and restored for under that amount? That's the big question. My buddy Manny had his 69 at Norwalk, compleat with a judge jacket, and a Judge hammer on the dashboard. Maybe a few of you out there saw it.

Restored Ram Air III's are not pulling 6 figures. I don't even think you can find an over-hyped auction result from an over-exuberant drunken bidder to support that number.

I'm also part of the contingent that believes muscle car prices are past their peak and it's downhill from here.

I agree with 60's muscle cars seeing better times price wise.My intention is to sell one or both of these cars if their too far gone to be restored. Misaligned quarters, to start, are way too complicated for me, but if their all there, who knows? Maybe Ill sell a few cars to finace the project. Very few people I know are strong buyers of cars from the 60's anymore, so bargains on completed cars are out there. Just out of curiosity, what do you feel is top buck on a 69 4 speed these days?

Some of it depends on the provenance of the vehicle and the restoration. A numbers matching, one family owned car from California, restored by one of the top three GTO restoration shops in the country, using all NOS original parts, with a recent concourse gold - might fetch close to $100k from the right buyer - even today I think.

Most cars with run of the mill frame off restorations however will fetch probably around $65k-$70k.

Top buck on nicely restored, matching-number RAIII Judges appears to be in the $50-60k range. A bit more for top-notch concours quality. BIG deduct for non-#'s and certain colors. To reach 6-figures, it needs to say RAIV on the hood or the top needs to come down.

Good info guys. Much appreciated, and deep down , no matter what my buddy says their worth, I do agree. Now let me ask you guys this. Is my 79 TATA 24k 4 speed gonna be worth Judge money in a few years?
