Thumbs up Wheelspin's legecy rides on

As many of you know, Wheelspin has passed his prized Pontiacs on to my brother and I. Last week we made the journey home with these bitchen rides. We even managed a last ride for the old man up Angeles Cress Hwy to Newcombs for lunch. First time these rides had both been up at the same time.

Brother drove his TA 1400 miles to Tulsa with no problems other than a small belt squeal in Flagstaff (saying it only squeals at 4000 rpm!) The GTO was trailered due to also providing a ride to all the original born with drivetrain and literally enough spare parts to build another car!

We are proud to be the new owners & caretakers of these beautiful rides and look forward to being part of this cool Pontiac community. Although these rides have been moved to the Texas & Oklahoma division skunkworks, we're very glad we still have our senior tuner Wheelspin on staff to help (even though he's a Buick dude now!)

I look forward to meeting many of you next July at POCI in Ft. Worth! We'll have our tuner Wheelspin & Mrs. Spin there too!

You are two VERY lucky kids. I hope to do the same for my children someday.

Enjoy those beautiful rides!

Congrats- those are beautiful cars! The drive to Newcombs is a good choice- with the cooler temps, I need to get up there myself.

Les just needed more room so he can collect more cars. I hope to see you at next year's POCI convention.

Default Wheelspin's Legacy Lives On

Big brother and I are excited that Wheelspin created another chapter by giving us a chance to carry the Pontiac torch in these two sweet rides he built. Our ride up the Cress was great & even better when we both laid rubber leaving Newcombe's much to the surprise of the bikers.

The 1421 mile journey (who's counting) was really good and the scenery of the desert is always a high point for me. It was funny when we were loading up & brother's haul was 12 crates reduced to 7 (or so) and the original motor, trans, & rear end. The T/A was one crate I reduced to that I reduced to 3 small boxes that fit neatly in the trunk and back seat. I thought it was going to be a challenge to haul the extra fiberglass nose & chin spoiler but thanks to Wheelspin's updated front seats in the T/A, they did recline to they rode shotgun with me all the way back to Tulsa.

I've been getting to enjoy cruising the car around the hood running errands in the low 13's! I plan on doing some evening/weekend cruises but with 2 teenagers at home & one just starting college, time is in short supply!

I echo his comments that we are fortunate to get to enjoy these sweet rides and marvel at Wheelspin's ingenuity in building two really great vehicles. We are glad that we have him on speed dial for tech support if the need arises. While I'm not at the mechanical level they are, I will take advantage of the PY family to help in the time of need. The POCI convention in Texas next year can't get her soon enough. Hope I get to meet each of you there!

Arrow Proud dad...

I'm the luckiest guy that I know .

Two of our four sons closely followed my GTO and TA builds, looking forward to the day when they too would be enjoying the cars that their dad built .

I couldn't be more proud of our sons and the fine men, and fathers that they are .

Update from the goat's new homeland. The mighty GTO appeared in it's first West Texas car show last weekend. Best muscle car & best overall of show! Maybe because it was the only Poncho in the show? I was so stoked as it was my first show as a owner. Good job to my builder Wheelspin! Looking forward to getting it out to a couple more before winter sets in here in Texas.
