PHS
Hi everyone. I see many GTO's are verified by PHS. How does that work?? Do you send a VIN# someplace and they send you info on this car?? Do they have copies of an original build sheet and window invoice sticker?? I think it's a great idea. Kind of protects the buyer. Thanks, Carmine.

Depending on the vehicle and model year you may receive a document that looks very much like the original build sheet which followed the vehicle down the line, or you might receive a billing history punch card (which would need to be decoded). The information was retained in a central location by Pontiac Motor Division and were kept as financial records (not with historians in mind). Typically PHS includes a highlighted version of the order sheet indicating the options selected, and then maybe some other items of interest like a promotional photo, press release, window sticker info or club information related to your type of vehicle, or maybe hints related to long term storage. A copy of the original window sticker is not available but you can use the above information to have a re-creation made, either through the PHS recommended supplier or our own Mike Noun also makes reproductions. [Note - I am not affiliated with PHS in any official capacity. These are my personal observations] K

Well thank you everyone. This is certainly good to know before buying one, Carmine.
