Default Easiest Way to Install Factory Radio in a 69 GTO

Have a rebuilt factory am/fm stereo radio that I need to install in my 69 GTO with a/c. Can I just pull the glove box to install it. Don't want to remove that huge main a/c duct because it's sealed in pretty good and the air works great.

What's the quickest, easiest way to install it?

If you pull the glovebox you can do it, removing the ashtray and its tracks will give you more room to work especially with the center AC duct getting in your way. Is it an original two piece stereo or a later one piece?

It's a 1972 one piece stereo radio from a GTO.

Can you get to the support strap through the glove box?
