Default winterport maine dragstrip

Is it still an active strip, meaning good turnout, or skimping by?

We went to Oxford for the first time last summer and I spoke with a few guys that said winterport was better and had a good turnout and better surface. I would like to hit it once too!

Winterport is still active and a nice little track. Been there a few times. Oxford is slowly making a come back with its racer turnouts. Had a few bad years.

WTF?! I never knew there was a drag strip in Winterport! My mother has owned a house there for 15 years on Washington St (the old historic Admirals house) we are selling right now. Oldest house there I think and pre-dates the founding of the town by several years or more. We have spent more refurbishing it than it's worth, but about 3x!!!!!

Learn something new every day.

It used to be an airport way back in the day.
