About 4-5 years ago Dick Boneske restored and rebuild a tripower for me. It was beautiful and worked flawless. After a short time the plating was disappearing. I sent them back to Dick and he at NO CHARGE had them plated again. Once again after a short while the plating faded. At that point I was ok with the looks and didn't tell Dick that the plating failed again.
Fast foreword to a few weeks ago I had an occasion to speak with Dick about a clutch problem I was having. I mentioned to Dick that the plating on my carbs had faded once again. Without hesitation he insisted I send them back. He found that the plater had receive a bad batch of chemicals around the same time of the original failures. My carbs are on the way back(NO CHARGE) and the are perfect. Not many guys like Dick are around these days. Dick is a true pro and a credit to our hobby. Than You Mr. Boneske.
