Original radiator for 70 Judge?
I am attaching some photos of my radiator. So far, I have not found out what codes should be on a correct 70 Judge, Ram Air III automatic with A/C. Anyone shed some light on what they see? Thanks, Jimmy

PM should be good (Heavy Duty).

PM is the auto/HD radiator for a RAIII, but I thought the auto/ A/C radiator is the PD unit.

Hi John, I do have the PHS on the car. Built in November of 1969 at the Fremont, CA plant. Car was sold in CA so it has the additional emission equipment. I don't have a build sheet, so I don't know what code radiator should be there. Jimmy

John, it does not show a heavy duty radiator option on the PHS. If my memory is correct, I believe A/C brought the HD radiator along with it.

In Eric White's book it shows the PD as for AC (as Mike said), PM for HD.
I would take this as it would be a separate option (PM) if ordered. The PD would be the standard radiator with TH400 and RA III. I have no idea if this is correct though. (other than what is written in the book)

BS, std. radiator, RAIII/auto. PM, Heavy Duty radiator, RAIII/auto. PD, A/C radiator, RAIII/auto. |

Looking at build sheets, I do not see a BS on any of them. I've revised my notes to indicate BL as std. radiator.
PS, anyone have a BL radiator for sale? Here is a partial sheet of a Fremont built Judge w/ A/C... |

I went over the Assembly Manual.
BS replaced the BL and PD replaced the PM. I don't know when the change occurred though. |

It makes since that mine has a PM and they later switched to the PD. I have an "early" car. Great detective work HFR!
