Default New sneakers on the 64

I took the old white letter tires and strange looking wheels off. Now she has 16'' torque thrust 2s on with some Nito drag radials. I also pulled off some stainless trim.

Those drag radials make a nice difference, she gets traction now pulling out a little on the hot side.

What looks better picture 1 or picture 2?

Definitely number 2. I had the same wheels size and everything on my 64 back in 2001. I had a set of the magnesium centered ones in 15 inch on my GTO in 2004. I have the magnesium centered ones now ready to go on when the car is done only they are in 18.

Those wheels in picture one are almost as bad as the ones that came on my car. Mine are the solid aluminum weld wheels with the rivets and they are oxidized. They have new tires on them and I tried for months to sell them on Craigslist for 100 bucks with no takers so I left them on for body work

Wheels in picture 1 look like they may have come on a stock S10 pickup, way too modern for that awesome classic.

I wanted the darker centered ones but I got a good deal on these so I changed my choice
