Have you already called all the Pontiac shops & struck out ?

Seems like somebody recently said that Paul Knippen had a couple.

I think he's PAUL K here.

It was posted that although several Pontiac shops have 'em listed, nobody actually had one in stock.

They may have done the same thing with these that they did with the cast 3" main 4.21 stroke cranks. -- No longer available.

I reckin they want you to use BBC rods. I suppose you could use Pontiac rods, with the Scat 4" crank, if you can find some .050 undersize rod bearings. At one time, Summit listed some. But right now, .040 is the biggest undersize listed.

I suppose if you don't wanna use the longer 6.7 or 6.8 BBC rods, you could use the 6.635 BBC rods, and buy Auto Tec pistons, with a .990 pin, moved to the correct location, for zero deck height. If my math is correct, those rods are only .010 longer than Pontiac rods.

And, they're actually cheaper than Eagle Pontiac H-beams. They're only 30 bucks more than RPM Pontiac H-beams. Part # CRS66353D

Or, even better, how 'bout $412 shipped, or make offer ?

If I was building a 4" stroker, I think that's the way I'd go, unless there is something I'm missing.

Butler, KRE, and Paul Sandoval all show the Scat 3" main 4" stoke cranks. Don't know if any of 'em have one in stock. KRE shows the best price, @ $750 + shipping.

Paul Spotts' site shows forged cranks for $649. Don't know if that price is current, or if he has the 4" Scat crank.

RPM also shows a BBC journal 3" main 4" stroke crank for $720. Part # DG3-455A4000

Here's another source for those Eagle CRS66353D rods, for $412 shipped.

And, Summit claims to beat any price. So, I suppose it might be possible to get a set for $400 shipped, depending on how cheap the Ebay seller will sell for.

Shaker455 has a 990 421 S/D 4" stroke forged crank, 3.25 mains but you can cut it down.
