Default Rally conversion

Happy Thanksgiving.
I will try to keep this short. 69 GTO currently with rally gauges/ rally harness. I may want to convert it back to a warning light dash package. I don't want to change the harness as it is a new one. Reason is I don't think my gauges are good and I will put under dash units to monitor vitals. Can I convert to idiot lights using a rally dash harness? Do I need to worry about any wires, especially if I leave the oil/temp wires disconnected? Any help would be appreciated. Really wanted rally gauges but not nonfunctioning gauges.

If you are going to pull the dash to put in non rally gauge cluster why not just sent out your rally cluster and have it serviced?

If you do switch back the only difference in the wiring harness is that two of the wires switch places in the big connector that goes into the cluster. If you search here you will find several threads that detail it.
