Default Factory Underhood Lamp

Anyone have a '68 GTO with the factory under hood lamp?

Was this a mercury style lamp (socket of bulb) or was there a separate switch w/bracket?

Thanks!

FWIW;
The '68 Accessory catalog shows/list the (671) under-hood light the same as prior years with a separate mounted switch.

70 GTO (Judge) had that danged firewall switch.

You know those Underhood mercury tilt switches started too late in the Production. Butt the Trunk light had mercury tilt, so it wasn't for lack of technology or handling mercury.

Just think ; all those mercury tilt switches dripping out of the crusher. Making the weeds and berries glossier.
