That was 2016. First year we did it with the wife's car and her driving the week. She's hooked now.

It is a very cool event! An amazing amount of 6, 7, and 8 second street cars! I remember in 2016 at Norwalk watching several pairs in a row go down the track with the cars going in the 7's.

Here's a list compiled by one of the Drag Week competitors of the quickest 5 day averages over the 13 years. All of these cars on this list had to finish to get on this list. (note: PA is a power adder car, NA is naturally aspirated.)

I am bummed, I found out you have to meet NHRA rules to race at drag week. My car is a little to fast for the no roll bar rule
I am not ready to ruin the car with a roll bar yet. Family rides out weight the roll bar. A few years when the kids are done jumping in the car when ever I start it and are out with there friends I will add it then.

Probably a dumb question...but..how does this work? You have to race at the first track, then be at the next destination by a certain time? Do you have to keep up with the group or set your own pace, stopping when you want but meet the deadline to be at the next destination?

You set your pace but you must follow the way they want you to go. There is a check points. If you are serious and are doing good in your class you might want to make a few passes, which takes time, so you leave later. If your first pass is good you can head to the next track after that.

Ok so from what I can find. Registration is $400. I'll need to cover hotel rooms for the week and obviously travel expenses ( fuel, food, etc..) what other track expenses? Are there entry fees at each track or is that included in the 400 registration fee? I'm thinking of running in Street Race class.

Scott
The 400 includes the tracks, plan on around 2000 for everything for the week, That doesn't include **** breaking on the way ,lol and by now most hotels are booked, the guys book them the minute they release the dates and location, I know that's what i did last year
Greg W on here shared the hotels he was staying at and i booked the same. I spent a lot more then that drag radials for the front and back as i didn't use a trailer and switch tires, fuel pump crapped out on wed,Its a blast to do
for sure!

Cool thanks. I'll look into hotels now. I'm hoping to be able to run 10 flat consistently with my new top end. But I have the body of the car apart too. ( putting quarter panel on it. ) I really need to evaluate the rebuild time frame.
