Default FiTech Tri-Power????

Just read an article that indicates FiTech debuted a Tri-Power system at this years SEMA show. I went to FiTech produce page and did not see it there.

Is this still in prototype stage or is the system available now?

Price?

Will it fit 66 Pontiac Tri-Power intake?

Any other info on it?

For the CFM of the FITECH system the Aluminum Tri-Power or Cast Iron Tri-Power would probably be just fine. The assumption is the Injectors in the Throttle Bodies are not that large and the Air Flow will not be a controlling factor, the fuel flow will be the control for HP.
Whatever that fuel capability is? (Is what you get for HP capability.)

I think they need to proof read their website. It states under the features tab "Works with origional carb type distributor, factory style throttle linkage, and most 4-barrel intake manifolds" "fits square bore or spreadbore intake manifolds" If this is true I bet it takes a hell of an adaptor plate.

Price does not sound that bad at all, about the same as buying 3 of the 440 6-pack new carbs from Holley.

HP is probably close as doubt if most normal Aluminum Tri-Power intakes will support more than 600 hp without a lot of work.
Cool System.

If you only get whats in the picture then I could see the setup being closer to 3K by the time your done. Still very cool.

I wonder if there are any air cleaners that would work with this.

Not sure about "close to 3k by the time you're done" more like around $2,500 IF you don't already have an electronic distributor, you need one, and an electronic fuel pump too.
I am looking at that system and one other one that is a 3x2 throttle body and uses 8 direct port injectors for my current 440 6bbl, and possibly for my future stroker motor.
I just invested $1,100 in an already fully functional and good running 3x2 Holley 6bbl to upgrade the lower and upper fuel lines, and to have Promax parts installed in all 3. I still have work to do to sort out performance and driveability with the new setup. That is a little less than 50% of the FiTech, and if I had to do it again I would have gotten the FiTech system!
This link below is one of 2 fuel injection systems that I am considering for the built up 421 in my wife's GTO, because she "wants it to look like a Tri-Power", so that means the $5,000 F&B direct port injection system with 3x2 throttle body units and a controller is actually the cheaper of the 2, the one that looks like a Tri-Power is going to come in around $8,000 by the time I get all of the supporting equipment for it like fuel lines, fuel pump, etc, but it is amazing looking and performs great according to one local guy who has it:
http://autotrendefi.com/efi-2g.html
I'm hoping Dick B. can get our Rochesters working to their full potential, or I'm looking at an $8,000 bill...
The FiTech is a BARGAIN.

Visually a single plane tri'power EFI. intake with enough hood clearance to work with f'body would be interesting, even more so with enough meat on port roof for tall ports

Bump up to the top. Has anyone tried this system out yet? I'm picking up a Barry Grant Six Shooter for the 433 in my 65 GTO and would like to know if anyone has been down this road before. Issues? Is there anything special regarding the distributor other than getting a small cap electronic one? I'm currently using a HEI.

I found a link to a Craigslist ad in the "high performance for sale" section on this site. The intake came with NOS Holley carbs, air cleaners, and some linkage that won't work for this system. I had to weld about 3/16" to the top of the intake flanges to work with my 2.3" High Port heads. Good thing I have a tig welder and a Bridgeport This is not an easy or cheap conversion. There is still quite a bit for me to figure out yet and I'm taking my time. Seems like nothing still fits. Thermostat housing and hose - different. Throttle cable and bracket - different.

The kit did not come with the coolant temp sensor -ACDelco Coolant Temperature Sensor 15326386 (Someone might thank me for leaving that number). The list goes on and on.
