I grew up with dogs my entire life but never actually bought my own. My daughter has been begging me for one so I'm starting to look. Specifically at pugs or 'puggles'. Ive located a few breeders with one being close to me and priced right. All the ads read "dewormed, neutered and general clean bill" but when I show up what questions should I be asking and what paper work should I be requesting or just given if all is kosher? Ill be fine in the area of picking a healthy looking and playful pup but just kinda lost on the rest. Males usually easier than females I've heard? These are all 10-12 week old puppys

I like the one that rolls over on his back when I start playing aggressively with him and yet still shows good spirit and energy. He's got enough grit but not trying to be the alpha all the time.
