Looking for an Ignition Coil #1115238.. prefer NOS
(not new replacement)

RA1John, The 1115238 coils were originally used on Chevrolets.

1115238 is listed in the Pontiac Parts Book.

I know the parts book says that, but it is a misprint, or by 69 the part number had been superceeded with the Chevy number. Read the AMA packet that came with your PHS. It clearly say 1115288. Plus I have 4 of the 288 coils, 2 of them I personally removed from 68 GTO's, 1 from a 68 LeMans, and 1 I bought from a member here who removed it from a 68 LeMans. Just about everybody selling the 238 coil on ebay is marketing it as a Chevrolet Coil.

Here is a photo of a 68 Tempest build sheet that says COIL 288 in box 102. Also the AMA says all 68 350 Tempest /LeMans and all 400 GTO's use the same 288 coil.

(should have thought of that before... I have a few of these).
