Default In-Tank EFI Fuel pump options for stock tank.

Sending unit and fuel intake are co-located in the same opening in a stock ('81) F-Body fuel tanks.
Is there an in-tank fuel pump for EFI that has a provision for the fuel gauge sending unit?

Part Number TM-201T fits 79-81 with Fuel Injection. It has a provision for EFI pump and their Fuel Sending unit, not the factory one.

Factory type tanl but not sure if EFI Pump fits.

I've looked for some stuff like that, but ended up going with an in-tank pump that will leave the stock sending unit in place. I suppose there are late model OEM combo pump/gauge sender units out there, but I don't have the time to see what fits my individual tank. The one I went with will fit my 67 FB tank, and will work with FiTech's PWM. It adjusts to tank depth, but will still require a stock gauge sender.

Not totally what you are looking for, but I am not seeing a drop in pump/sending unit. I, like you, would have loved to see a singular drop-in unit. Drop in universal pump/float combo for GM cars, adjustable for tank depth... I see a market opportunity.

Holley has a new product that is supposed to do just as you ask. I believe it is self-regulated, however, so you will not have a return line - that makes the install a bit simpler, but also makes it more susceptible to vapor lock.

Personally, I feel the TanksInc system that Tom mentions is the best current option.

Yes that is exactly what I was looking for, but could not find anywhere.
Tanks INC has an EFI retrofit pump , but it has no sending unit.
The FiTech unit has a built in regulator, so the FiTech EFI's internal regulator is removed. Not sure if that can be done on the Sniper.

I looked at the new Tanks..and they do have the advantage of better baffling...but I was hoping to retain my stock tank.

So, you must have had to cut a new hole in the stock tank for the pump, right?

If so, how did that go?

I see their module does have the gas tank gage sender as part of the assy.

spectra also makes an intank pump/sender module that installs in the stock opening. they also make a complete tank/pump assembly with a baffled tank for a very good price.

http://www.spectrapremium.com/produc...ssemblies.html

the holley unit is the same type of pump/sender in one module that installs in the stock opening, it comes with their hydro-mat product. the holley is a non-return internal bypass design & they claim it helps prevent or eliminates vapor lock.

aeromotive also offers a drop in pump unit but requires cutting the tank & retaining the stock sender, they offer standard return systems & a non return internal bypass also.

I made my own with a Walbro pump. Pump with sending unit all together that fits thru stock hole into stock tank. No internal baffles in the tank so have to keep it above 1/2 for spirited driving. Thinking of adding a Holley fuel mat to it like the Holley referenced above.

I would prefer 340lph for my setup, and do not mind drilling new hole in tank...but would prefer to not have an internal requlator.

aeromotive offers the bigger 340lph pump & the normal full return system is standard & uses a external regulator. they offer an internal bypass one for dead head carb setups but you still need an external regulator to dial down to what your carbs needs.

Default In-Tank EFI Fuel pump options for stock tank.

I have a brand new tank with the Aeromotive pump already installed. Have an ad in the classifieds. Send me a pm if you are interested.

Might as well go with Walbro's latest, I think it's a 450. Only one that is E85 approved. http://walbrofuelpumps.com/walbro-f9...-fuel-pump-e85

I was leaning towards the Tanks Inc. intank pump with the attached baffle. Seems there's a lot of concern about fuel starvation when using an unbaffled tank. Their PA6 pump (Walbro) fits the bill.
However, fixing my stuck choke on the Q-jet, just unleashed enough power to immediately upset my tranny. So the EFI is on hold.
