Do you know what the current bore is? Also, does it still turn over by hand?

Bore unknown. Since it has been sitting I haven’t tried turning it over. If I were to use it, I’d take it apart. I already have two more complete engines, extra heads, manifolds, timing covers. Don’t think I’ll ever use this one.
4dblnkldude, I never received a pm.
Anyone interested can email me directly at [email protected]
Thanks,
Chris

Hard to believe that it's that hard to sell a '71 400 for under a dollar a cube. I'm interested because I have one sitting around that I may need to move.

Would have been gone long ago if it was even remotely local to me.
I've been having the hardest time finding any 400 / 455 in my general area.

Default Pulled Cyl Head

Pulled LH Cyl Head tonight and measured two bores at 4.120/4.122” (stock bore). Now that was with dial calipers so I’ll borrow a bore mic tomorrow from work and confirm but won’t be much different...few .001’s.

Would like to see it used as I won’t get to it. Will have on hoist ready to drop in a pickup bed/help load.

God I wish you were closer. For once I actually have the money for something LOL. My nearest 400 is a weak block for 1800

Double checked this morning with bore mic and got 4.120”. I’m surprised it’s not even a little worn.

64speed, you’re saying that someone’s selling a 400 for $1800? What’s a weak block? Like a late one?

Yes any pontiac engine around here is at least 1000 dollars. The weak blocks are 75-78
