3.90 gear for the 9.3
Asking this here because I know the Big car for sale section doesnt get much traffic:
Anyone have a set of 3.90 or 4.10 gear for the 9.3? I have a 3.08 non posi so the 3.90 gears would make the swap a bolt in, getting ready to swap in a T56 to it. Need some higher numerical gears. |

Have you checked with Fabcraft?

FabCraft has both ratio's you mentioned. $400.00-$425.00 depending on ratio. I have used them. Work very well, Expect a little noise, especially from the 4+ ratio's. No other source for new gears other than a lucky swap meet find, NOS, or classified ad.

The gears Fabcraft sells need the high gear center section(3.08-3.31).Brad had them made that way.I think Richmond still sells some gears like 4.10 to fit the low gear center section.I might have a 4.10 complete 3rd member. Will check tomorrow.tom

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I have looked into Fabcraft. Was simply trying to not spend $400. However, I necessary I can. Tom, please let me know if you have something. I have 3.08 and a 2.69 open so could get the spacer if someone had gears from Fabcraft for the 3.08 housing. Thank you for the details on the Fabcraft gears, helpful. |
