Default In tank electric pump

Anyone here using an In tank electric pump for a carb engine? I went to Tanks web site and they say you can use their pumps for carbs but must use a return style regulator. No problem there but looking for someone with experience doing this with high hp. Looking to upgrade when I get my 535 done as my current fuel system may not supply the needed amount. Looking to feed maybe 900 hp

I had to pull the Fitech off and send it in for a repair early on and decided to drop a carb on in it's place. I just used a RobbMC return style regulator. Pretty simple swap, but I have AN lines for feed & return to the tank.
With as much HP as you're looking at, I would just make sure that your feed & return lines are sized right. I'm guessing AN-10 (1/2") or -12 for the feed. ???

I have 1/2" hard line front to back. With #10 at the ends for connection. I will have to run a return line and get a return style regulator as I currently am deadheading my Holley HP150 pump. Can I use the Holley regulator? Will it work using the other side to return to the pump. I feed my carb from 1 side of the regulator now.
From the math calculations I am using the HP150 may be enough to supply my new build. ....horespower. X. .6. ÷ 6.1.= GPH of fuel. .... So lets estimate high @950 hp.(very high..lol..)
950 X .6. / 6.1. = 93.44 gph. The HP150 should flow 140gph @ 7psi. I have my regulator set now at 8psi.

There are a few regulators which come with two springs - one for EFI and a weaker one for carbs.

Make sure you size the return line properly. Some pumps may require a larger return than supply line, in order to drop the pressure low enough for a carb.

Yes 1/2" supply and return lines with bypass regulator. Walbro pump, 450 LPH, in tank but I'm only at 570 HP on a quadrajet. They make some larger pumps but at 900HP you might have to run multiple pumps.

One of my Mopar buddies has one in his 500ci street Charger. It took that to help stabilize fuel delivery in the Texas heat with the variability of pump gas volatility. Forgot which one her used.

I'm not sure it will make 900. I'm just estimating high to be safe. Thanks for the reply

I recently came across this guy - http://www.glennsperformance.com/

Much more affordable than other companies.
If you don't see it on the website email him.

I ran the Tanks system in my 600hp 73gto. Used 3/8 steel lines and robbmc regulator. All worked well and pushed the heavy car to low 11s.. ran the car low on fuel while racing and never starved for fuel, so assuming the tank baffle was good!

I plan to run a similar system in my 68 firebird

I'm feeding over 700 hp with the Tank's tank and big pump and a 1/2" supply and return, runs 10's no problem here works great.
