Some one bought a '69 Firebird at Pirwitz Pontiac-Buick in Stoughton, WI. The car was a 350 convertible, Carousel Red, black top & interior, Deluxe interior with column shift-automatic.
I purchased the car in '91 from a gentleman who had owned it for over 17 years. The PO bought it off of a lot. I'm thinking it was probably traded-in by the original owner. Twenty-some years ago I talked to the head salesman at Pirwitz . He was very nice to talk to and said he was surprised that he didn't remember the car, but could not help me out. I'm just trying to learn the history of those first few years, the original owner (or friends/family) is the only one who could answer some questions that I have. Any help would be appreciated. Hank

Would you have the PHS on it?
I show a Pirwitz Pontiac-Buick in Schofield WI? (150 miles apart) Could have been 2 dealerships I guess. Consider putting an ad in the local paper to see if you get any responses?

Pirwitz Motors was in Lake Mills, WI. Originally built in the 1920's, they remained there until foreclosure in 1993. There's a Mexican restaurant there now, the building still has remnants of the old dealership.
I've never seen any evidence of a second Pirwitz location, but I've seen two PHS window stickers that have it in different cities! Mike

Well that's closer to Stoughton at 27 miles than 150.

My mistake!!! Pirwitz Pontiac Buick was in Schofield, near Wausau WI. The business is still there as a Buick GMC dealership under new ownership. I have the new name here somewhere. I contacted them and got the name of the retired salesman that I reached out to. They had no records back that far. I did get a picture my Firebird in front of the showroom just before the Pontiac sign was taken down.

I see.....Pirwitz must have had another lot, perhaps multi-make or just Used Cars, but it seems like an awful long way away!
