Currently Max Performance in conjunction with Cold Case is looking for a 66 or 67 modified GTO, Tempest or Lemans to participate in the development of an all aluminum custom crossflow radiator support for the 66 and 67. The shop is literally the premier custom radiator support designer in the country. Their supports are on some of the nicest musclecars in the world.

Your car would need to be left at the shop north of Atlanta for patterning. It could take 30-60 days and then be needed again for a day or two to test install a production unit.

In exchange, you will drive away with a $3000 support kit installed in your car. That includes the aluminum channeled support, Cold Case crossflow radiator, ac condenser, overflow and trans cooler package.

By modified do you just mean non-stock or are you talking about a custom resto-mod? I have a 67 convertible that has been slightly modified with the addition of front disc brakes and after market wheels.

Will the cross flow they'll put in be better than the stock down flow it will replace?

I've been one that would only use a stock radiator thru the years... no aluminum radiator for me. Well, since I bought the Cold Case a couple of years ago that's all changed. This Cold Case radiator has kept my GTO from overheating even on the hottest days. Now they're going to an aluminum cross flow, and that's the reason I asked the above question.
