New member to the forum in the process of redoing a 80 trans am. Car has a old rebuild pontiac 400 supposed head work done and new rotating assembly and a comp 268h cam. I just re did the paint a custom black with gold pearl. I'm from the auburn al/ Columbus GA area looking for a good pontiac mechanic to point me in the right direction to wake this old bird up. Going to the interior shop within next couple of weeks to get rid of this ancient gold piping lol

Make sure the timing is right / carb tuned. Car dosnt seem to have much umph to it. I wouldn't mind buying some heads if I trusted someone to put them on. Also my shifter tends to jump out of gear occasionally, not sure what's going on with that. Just a mechanical once over.

What area are you in?

I have. Valley has a huge scale R/C airplane gathering every year. They used to anyhow. Never got down there for it.
If you can't find anyone to do your work, I know a few folks but for the stuff you want done you can probably find someone closer to home.

Yeah, I have been to that field a long time ago, back when I was flying R/C.. It's a good way from Valley though...
