Watched it last night. Had to fast forward through all the "dramatization" parts with Alec Baldwin (who I can't stand) playing DeLorean.

While I was aware of the involvement of Colin Chapman with the car company, I wasn't aware of the allegations that Chapman and DeLorean stole from their investors "while onboard the sinking ship", laundering the money through a shell company they (DeLorean?) set up in Geneva Switzerland with forged and post-dated documents.

In a poignant twist of fate, Delorean's ex-wife testified against DeLorean at trial over the charges of racketeering, fraud and tax evasion. claiming to have witnessed DeLorean forging and artificially ageing the documents he used in his defense.

Following the death of Chapman, the case imploded and DeLorean was again acquitted.
