Not even bolted down, no adapters present either.
Totally wrong application for those carbs, they’re meant for individual runner setups. Genuine Weber 40 IDF carbs (now made in Spain, Italian made was long ago) sell for $600 each new, Chinese clones for about $350. I’m not seeing any linkage or fuel lines. I’m also not seeing $3200 there, and it’s not a running working setup.

Kind of weird to just have them sitting on the intake like that. No linkage either. They conveniently didn't say much about it in their description.

Yup! True enough. I didn't look that close. I'm overzealous when I see new stuff for traditional Pontiacs! doh!

I have a Mickey Thompson Dual Crossram intake, modified for 65 up heads, that has the
two Plenums removed and the pairs of runners converted to side draft 45v DCOE Weber carbs. Never put a lot of effort into finishing it as the Pontiac Community would not understand a long individual runner manifold and how it functions anyway. Tom V. My carbs are new not POS used carbs either.

Tom - how many of the 45mm DCOE's would it take to feed an IR Pontiac?
I had a factory set of dual 44mm's on an off-topic import 4 cylinder 121 CID. Of course it turned RPM's Pontiac never dreamed of, but still............................. Jon.

Well the 289 Cobra had four 48IDA Webers on an IR intake, pretty sure they were equipped with the largest venturies available at 45mm.
One of the nicer features of 48IDA and other Weber carbs is the ability to change the venturies with multiple sizes available. Also with 48IDAs you can swap the main, idle, and air correction jets as well as the emulsion tubes directly from the top without having to drain the float bowls or disassemble the carbs. All the VW drag racers back in the sixties were using a pair of 48IDAs, thanks to them being imported for the Cobra. Nowadays they’re making billet 58mm versions for the VW crowd. The 48s are routinely converted to 51.5mm throttle plates as well. My toy street VW has a pair of Italian 48IDAs I bought new back in 1980 along with a Joe Hunt Vertex magneto bought about the same time. I was previously running those carbs on an 1835cc (112 cu. in.) flat four. It would take some mighty big carbs to feed a Pontiac V8 on an IR intake.

Remembering as a teenager building model car kits, esp. the 65 GTO with "Weber carbs" I often wonder if this setup had ever been built in a real car and what car/engine/mockup/etc. was the inspiration for the "kit" setup.
