Default 1970 Brake Light switch

i purchased a couple of new brake light switches from Ames for my 70 Judge. The switch came with two lock nuts to apparently lock the switch body in place once its mounted. I'm not sure those nuts are needed as the GM drawings show the single round stoplight switch mounting clip. No nuts shown on any 68 to 70 application. I bought a couple of the mounting clips from Ames too.

there seems to be no way to mount the mounting clip AND the locking nuts.

My question is...does the threaded brake light switch thread into the mounting clip? No nuts???

Thanks in advance for any advice

Carl
