Default 2018 GMC tail light Needed

I cracked the tail light on my 2018 GMC Sierra SLT and was hoping someone might have or know of one for a reasonable price. There are very few salvage yards around here and none of them has one. Picture is the one I need, same as a Denali.

Nothing on EBay? I just replaced one of my 2011 Silverado tail lights for $43.

Geez, over $500!? I feel lucky now. That’s crazy.
I just looked again to make sure my memory is correct, and I can buy 2 of mine for $60. I had found a single for $43. I was actually impressed with the quality, as the color looked no different than the one it replaced.

The price is ridiculous. O'Reilly wants $900.00 for one! I have found them on E-bay for around $400.00 but that is still crazy. I am going to try and work the scratches out of mine and live with it. I already have to pay $1,400.00 for paint work to have the rear fender fixed.

That is just Silly!

I looked upstairs to see if I had any, I do not! I have a few from earlier & later years, different models, etc!

How about buying a set of aftermarket LED tailights from Ebay, Summit, etc for much less??

Still Silly, but NOT as bad as if I break a tail light on my XLR-V.... Last check $2600.00 was the cheapest I saw!

God Bless

I have looked at aftermarket tail lights but most, if not all will not work on my truck. I don't know why but a lot of the ads say they are not compatible with the LED system on the SLT truck.

I went to the local GMC dealer today and the parts guy looked up my truck by the VIN and told me I do not have LED lights. That is the good news, but regular taillights are just as expensive! They wanted $675.00 plus a $50.00 core charge for the driver's side only! I checked out sites online and they were all in the $500.00 . OEM part number is 84365930

Now you know why people repair their taillights with red duct tape and red cellophane.

If you want it perfect then pay the man, if you can live with something less than perfect then polish out the scratches the best you can and be happy with that.

Smile How about these?

They would give you something to install while you keep an eye out for an original.

If you don't like them, send them back.
