Default 1965 Power Antenna Replacement Mast, Where to Buy One?

Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement power antenna mast for my '65? The mast that came with the antenna unit I bought is bent and I'd like to replace it. I've tried searching the threads for this information, but I don't see anything.

Thanks,
Doug

They are not reproduced. Ebay is about it. Plan on $500 +.

I had my front fender hole welded shut when repainted. I've tried a couple of hidden antennas. They are garbage. Now I'd like to add an antenna to the rear quarter. Always thought that was cool! As stated, the factory ones go for gold prices. There are a few aftermarket ones that are pretty inexpensive. I'm nervous about those. This one looks ok'ish. At least has chrome nut and assortment of angled bezels.

Can you carefully straighten the bent one? I had a Chrysler mast that was bent but not kinked and with patience managed to straighten it.

There is also a guy in Florida that refurbishes and sells. His name is Frank Rosenzweig. Contact me if you want his contact info.

Thank you for your reply. I just bought another on eBay that needs some work and I hope I can make one out of the two. I also bought a new "repo" style power antenna that I'm working on machining new parts to replace the mast housing pole with pieces that will allow me to add the reproduction parts where it meets / comes through the body.

I haven't tried that yet because I'm hoping that a new mast might be available, but it doesn't seem like they are. I'll give it a go and see how that works. Thanks.

You're welcome. I just bought an NOS (looks like lol) "Harada MX-22 AM/FM Universal Fully Automatic Power Antenna". Bought it on eBay for $50+shipping. I hope I can use the factory style nut and spacer on it. Not sure if the threads are universal on these? Probably not. Ugh. What have you figured out on yours? Unfortunately I don't have access to a machine shop now. I just retired. lol

I had to return the other power antenna that I got because it was junk. I'm still trying to find a replacement mast for the other unit, but I'm also making a new mast tube for a similar new power antenna unit like the one you bought.

Ok. Keep me posted. I haven't even really gotten started yet. Gonna have to have a few beers to work up the courage to drill a hole in my quarter panel! lol

80's models Lincoln Town Cars used a very similar power antenna.
The mast is practically identical "looking" .

They mount vertical instead of angled - but possibly could be reconfigured.
The mast should be a workable substitute if you have everything else.

If a PHS doesn't list a power antenna , I would not bother with one at all.
Gas Tires and Oil just keep getting more expensive
