Default 1963 Tempest/Lemans Trophy 4 Code 77Y date code May 1963

I have a complete (minus carb) 1963 Tempest/Lemans Trophy 4 engine in my garage that I'd like to sell. This is a code 77Y engine - the higher performance, 4 barrel carburetor version of the Trophy 4.

Date code on the block is May 16, date code on the head is May 29, and date code on the intake is May 21. Head code is correct 543797. Intake code is 541259.

I suspect the engine was rebuilt at some point, but I don't know what was done with it. The visible part of the head gasket looks pretty new and someone replaced some lines on the intake with -AN lines. Someone also put a carb spacer on the intake. Underneath the valve cover, the top of the head/rockers is very clean. Engine has been stored in a dry garage and sealed up.

The engine turns smoothly. I oiled it, put a battery on it and cranked it over with the starter and all seems to work, but I had no spark. I suspect this engine will run just fine.

Not sure of value/price on this engine. Feel free to send an offer. Or, even if you are not in the market, but have thoughts on an appropriate price, feel free to send me a PM.

Located near Portland, Maine. You would need to pick up or pay for shipping. I have a lift plate for the intake and an engine jack to help get this in your truck.
