What are you all using for replacement OEM style sway front sway bar brackets on early 2nd gen Trans Ams?
Don't want to go Energy poly kit, so where to buy a stock looking bracket and 1.25" bar bushings? I think AMES has something but not as a kit. Seems like some brackets don't work with some rubber bushings. Then Inline Tube for some reason lists 2 different style bracket kits: https://www.ebay.com/itm/204923154687? https://www.ebay.com/itm/166944927488? Thanks. |

Hopefully my memory is not failing me, but on my 72 with a 1.25" front bar I went to the wrecking yard and pulled the brackets from a 2000 Escalade, then went to Autozone and bought bushings for a 2000 Escalade with a 31.8mm front bar. Even has the little rubber part that sticks out for the dimple in the frame. I did this because I got tired of the poly squeaks.
Again, if my memory is right, it did not matter what size bar the donor Escalade had, the brackets were the same.

Ok after thinking about this I think I got the brackets off a caprice. But the rubber was over the counter 2000 escalade.
