Awe that’s too bad.
I heard he has been having health issues, but it seemed like recently rumors of his passing were being quelled by one of Fritz’s close friends.

RIP Frank Fritz. I really enjoyed the TV show, American Pickers, especially the first 2-3 years. Like most of us, that is how I grew to know Frank. No personal memories. I did visit their original "store" years ago when our race in Cordova, IL was rained out for the day. It was cool to see in person items they had "picked" and featured on the show. I know he had been battling serious health issues for a number of years.

I think it was like a year and half ago he had a bad stroke. He has been in a nursing home since that time. His health was really going down hill before he was let go from the show, and it sounds like that increased his drinking. Mike had shared that his drinking and fits of anger was why he was let go from the show. Frank had his own store too. I never once heard it mentioned on the show. Many people don't know that. I seen him in person once at the Vintage Torque Fest event they have here in Iowa. I though the Mike and Frank combo worked well for the show. Its not the same anymore.
RIP Frank. |

Hate to hear that, but knew he was having health issues. The chemistry with Mike is what made the show for me.
