Ok ... It will run fine @ 106.....and will "retard" to 107 or 108 as timing chain relaxes

Thanks for the link steve,I'm running a 273 gear and hope this will work better with timing at 106.I still would like to perform a compression check.Prior install it had 180 I'm expecting 190 -195 ,if it goes higher then 200 I'll be going back to 108.

My original OF1 is degreed in at 108, with 3.90 rear, 28” tire. Not operational just yet…

Well this is strange, I performed a compression test and only got 160 psi, seems low.Was expecting 180 at least.Did test with engine on stand .May need to seat rings and then retest.

What is your engine size and CR? The higher your CR the greater the change in cranking compression will be for a ICL change. A 10.0:1 455 should see an increase of a little under 5 psi going from 108 ICL to a 106 ICL.

OK finally running again, feels a little more responsive off idle.Haven't made any full throttle stabs yet still breaking in,is a little noisy until lifters fill up.Will do a compression test soon, but curious if I will get legit readings due to the lifters compressing and closing the intake sooner
