Thoughts?
Anything weird or am I overly cautious. |

Looks like a 72 Formula to me. Top Number is only the car model designation, IE Firebird.
Interior code is Deluxe Black Vinyl/Cloth insert, pretty rare.

No paint code. Is it Black? Or, can you tell what color it is/was originally?

Has the dashes for special paint. Like Mike said could be black.
The 'N' seemed to replace the 'NOR' of the previous units. Looks like around 01A it changed?

Must be a special order paint car. I'd be looking in all the insconpicuous places for the original color.

Per the owner it has always been black. I was under the impression that black code 19 wasn't special order and indicated as so on the tag.
And the seats were cloth as well. Thank you for the information. Last edited by Cerberus; 03-03-2025 at 07:22 AM. |

Starlight Black was NOT a standard color in 1972 but WAS in the paint area, and some cars got special order paint via order form or corp office.

I had understood that 1972 had the most special order paint cars built;
Trans Am's are a great example of this.
