Default Go-to Source for Fuel Tank??

Sending unit quit sending. Kinda figured i might as well replace the tank AND sending unit if its coming down. 40 yo car and all. Pretty sure its all original at this point.

Im all for upgrading tank/parts while im going. Stainless? Powder costed? Bed liner tank?

Any advice on where to get /what to replace with is appreciated. Thx.

Spectra (?) makes a very nice galvanized tank for these cars at a good price, check rock auto or summit for best prices.

Tanks inc makes nice tanks too that are powder coated and have a baffle inside for better fuel control when using their electric in tank pumps.

Gastanks dot com is right down the street from me but I think they may be a spectra dealer? I ended up getting mine from firebird central. I had it dropped off at carlisle, without shipping they were the best price I could find.

I have a nice used tank out of a '65 LeMans. It's dated 3-12, with P/N GM37H. $150. PM me if interested.

FWIW...I ordered a Spectra tank from Auto Zone and used their 15% off coupon awhile back. Saved some $$
