I have gotten to as much as 5 1/8" backspacing with some disc brakes. All depends.

The BS required will vary by the width of the rim and the size of the tire.
I ran 15x7" with 4.25" BS while running 235/60/15's (26.1" tall) and that was tight with my front disc brakes. I now run 17x7 with 4.625" BS while running 215/55/17's (26.3" tall) and have plenty of clearance. |
