Default 79 TA 400-4spd and RARE Manifolds

I have a 79 - 400 4 Speed car and have always wanted to put a set of the Ram Air Restoration Manifolds on whenever I replaced my exhaust manifolds due to a crack in one of them.

I finally got a set of them and am working on putting them in. I got the RM-2-OS which are for 68-72 GTO/LM and 70-81 F/Trans Am. After all the research before and hearing about how great of a fit they are, I am now hearing that on the 4 speed cars they Z-bar will hit the manifold when shifting and that the starter wiring will get fried since it runs so close to the starter.

Does anyone here have a 79 400 4-speed car with these manifolds and can provide some insight? I’m at a point where I need to either sell the manifolds and put stock ones in or continue forward as my next step is dropping the motor back in the car.

Thanks!
