Default New Member Intro

I recently found my way back to the Pontiac world, previously owned a 78 Trans Am 400/4sp and a 79 Trans Am 403/auto.

As mentioned in the Epic Craigslist thread, I recently purchased a 1973 Firebird.
Based on cowl tag it is/was Buccaneer Red, auto 350/2bbl with black interior.
All original paint and rust free metal except the passenger quarter panel and center trunk floor which was replaced. It hasn't been on the road since 2002.

Future plans will include Pontiac engine (maybe my bf spare 428), early version formula hood, rear firebird spoiler, possibly switch to manual, Admiralty Blue paint, and of course tires and wheels.

Looking forward to learning as I go.

Donna Jean

Welcome, Congrats!!!

I like the plainness of a 70-73 firebird with a flat hood. The looks don't jump out at you, like a Trans Am. Of course a 428 or 455 could do the jumping!!!

The 428 block may need some adapters to bolt into your car...

Welcome and congrats.
I like the Buccaneer Red as well as Admiralty Blue. Maybe think about a stripe kit too.
