Hi, if possible I'm looking for pictures of how the date code should look on a standard outside mirror on an Arlington built (if that matters) 1970 GTO Judge? I"ve seen some that say DMI and others DCA with R in a circle. Were there a couple manufactures of the mirrors at that time? Thanks

My understanding is that factory parts ALWAYS had dates;
As far as I am aware, even GM replacement parts still had date codes. It might not be an A-body part, but in my quest for date coded mirrors for my car, I came across many later 1970's dated NOS mirrors for F-bodies (still complete and in the box). I have always understood that mirrors without dates were aftermarket replacements. I believe there is a web page that a Yenko(?) guy created to disseminate GM glass & mirrors.

I haven't seen any DCA marked mirrors, only the ones shown attached. Anyone know the company JC stands for?

oh!
I should maybe add this: I have a Mopar mirror here - I cannot recall the application right now, but believe it's a 1966 date code; It reads: 5-DMI-6

JC may be west coast, like rim manufacturers are [N(T) vs. K].
Or, Canadian. gto4ben, what is your build plant?

By these post’s (and the date spreads on the parts), I am guessing that remote mirror’s weren’t a common option.

Looking at my 69 GTO PHS collection (almost 1,250) the 42- remote mirror is at about a 45% take rate. It was also part of the option load on all the pattern judges
