Default My poor 72

I was driving my 72 yesterday and heard a pop then a strong smell of fuel.

Sorry to see your car in that condition I’m sure you had your heart and soul in that car . Hopefully no one was hurt at least

I was driving and heard a pop noise and then flames coming from under the dash.

I think the fuel line to the throttle body broke.

as a repeat victom of fire loss, I am really sorry to learn of this. glad you are ok. In your opinion- would it have helped if you had a portable fire extinguisher? I carry one, esp when traveling. Hoping you are well insured

I have insurance but not enough to cover all that i put into it. Im going to pull the drivetrain out and sell it.

That pop was the fuel lighting off , the fuel leak started a few seconds before that pop.
