Default Tempest parts question.

I was looking for some help identifying a part i purchased with a bunch of 61-63 tempest parts. I can't find anything about it. If it is a tempest part just like to know what it is.

Part # 9770296

GM Group 4.123

Thank you for any feedback.

Mike

Funny, my October 1966 Pontiac Chassis Parts Catalog jumps from group 4.109 on page C686 to group 4.128 on the next page, C687. Group 4 has to do with transmission parts.

From the 68 parts catalog;
Group 4 first section (transmissions) is in different sections according to transmission type. 4.123 is found under most of the different automatic transmission pages.
This is from the 61-63 Tempest automatic section.

Unfortunately part number 9770296 doesn't pop up which makes me wonder if it may be a Corvair part or its an updated number.

A picture of the part would help.
