Default WANTED ANY INFO- 1968 GTO

Wanted - Any information on 1968 GTO VIN 242378P219828- Last in MI in mid 80's, Could be anywhere. The title or paperwork could have typo with incorrect number since new. A copy of the title and registration we have shows 252378P219828, Helping a family friend. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Have you tried going to each states DMV website?
Ive done this in our state but Ive had a title#
IM sure a PI could find it if it has a current registration

being 40 years ago
cars get painted and transformed often to owners taste.....
often small or BIG unique items on or about the car may help throw up possibilities
rear 1.4 drivers side was smashed... was green and painted red ...
power window car .... radio cut out ,,, options etc.... ac car 4 speed etc
right front fender changed non hide away etc

not everyone knows their buddies vin .... I know of over 20 68 gto;s right now ....
1 or 2 I think are clones.... and I have owned about the same in last 40 years ....

it probably didnt make it to washington state but who knows ...

let the word out

run the phs on it ,,,,, he may tell you someone else requested the info
and point it towards still being in someones gargage
